Word was received by friends here of the death Monday of Mrs. J. P. Brown of Parkersburg, who died after a brief illness. She was 83 years old and had been quite feeble of late. Her daughter, Mrs. Cliff Allen, and husband had been making their home with Mr. and Mrs. Brown and were with her at the time of her death. Funeral services will be held today from their home in Parkersburg at 1 o'clock and from the Methodist church at 1:30 with Rev. S. Siefkes of Shell Rock in charge. Burial will be made in the Rev. Paulsen cemetery.

Mrs. J. P. Brown died Monday noon at her home following a lingering illness. Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church. Interment was in the mausoleum at the Brown cemetery south of town.
