Funeral services for Anfin (Red) Anderson, 87, formerly of Albion and Conrad, were Saturday morning, Dec. 14, at the Alice Church of God, rural Conrad. The Rev. James Snare officiated with burial in the church cemetery.

He was born July 27, 1904, in Cambridge to Mikel and Hannah Johnson Anderson. He attended school in Cambridge.

He married Helen F. Klar Nov. 21, 1938, in Marshalltown and they lived in Albion and then Conrad.

He entered Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Reinbeck three and one-half years ago.

He owned and operated the Albion Cafe for several years, retiring in 1969.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; a son, Paul, Albion; three daughters, Betty (Mrs. Lee) Lynch, Beaman, Mary (Mrs. Donald) Ralston, Conrad, and Beverly Elliott, Garwin; a sister, Helen (Mrs. Paul) Lambert, Des Moines; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and a grandchild.

Johnston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
