Mrs. Fred Draper Died Friday

Mrs. Fred J. (Florence) Draper, 71, of R.R. 2, Eldora, died Friday night, April 13 at the Marshalltown Area Community Hospital where she had been a patient six days.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 16, 1979 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ivester Church of the Brethren. Rev. Arlin Claassen officiated. Burial was in the Sheller cemetery near the church. Mrs. Alice Anderson and Mrs. Katherine Sheller were floral attendants. Casketbearers were Verne Smith, Roger, Howard and Lee Hogle, Lloyd Draper and Gary Button. The Johnston Funeral Home in Conrad was in charge of arrangements.

Florence was born May 3, 1907 in Palermo township, Grundy County, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Elsie Holl Bockes. She graduated from the Grundy Center high school in 1926. On December 28, 1932, she was united in marriage to Fred J. Draper at the home of her parents. The Drapers have lived in the Ivester area all of their married life. She was a member of the Ivester Church of the Brethren, Mother-Daughter Circle and Women's Fellowship of the church.

She is survived by her husband Fred, two sons, Dale L. of Mansfield, Ohio, Glen E. of St. Charles, Iowa, four daughters, Mrs. Don (Helen) Price of Panora, Mrs. Don (Mary) Rhoads of Burkburnett, Texas, Lois A. Draper and Mrs. Raymond (Alice) Johnson of Des Moines, 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one grandson.
