Summer-like heat is blamed in man's death

The first wave of summer-like heat has been blamed in the death of a Conrad man Wednesday.

Kingford L. Albright, 65, was found dead around 8 p.m. in his vehicle which was parked in the lot of Tom's Cue and Brew, 803 E. Main St.

According to David Bethel, the Marshall County Medical Examiner, an autopsy conducted at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines Thursday found no evidence of foul play.

"The cause of death was attributed to hyperthermia or excessive body heat due to the victim's exposure to heat Wednesday within his closed parked vehicle," Bethel said.

Bethel said Albright had apparently been living out of his vehicle for the last few days.
