Died at her home Friday evening at 9:40 o'clock a.m., Elizabeth Dunn, commonly known as Grandmother Dunn. The funeral was held Sunday at 12 o'clock conducted by Rev. Norton and the remains laid to rest in the Melrose cemetery. The church was filled with the sympathizing friends who gathered to pay the last tribute of respect to the aged and honored departed one. Elizabeth Shaft[sic] was born in Virginia Dec. 25, 1820, and married to Jas. Dunn in 1847, and came to Felix township in 1866 where she has since lived with her aged partner who survives her. The twelve surviving children and husband have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad hour of affliction. The deceased was an earnest Christian and a member of the M. E. church for fifty years.
