Hinderika "Reka" Nederhoff , 91, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2009 at the Grundy Long Term Care Center in Grundy Center. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 27th, 2009 10:30 A.M. at the Wellsburg Reformed Church in Wellsburg. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26th from 5 to 7 P.M. at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg. Interment will be at the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery.

Reka was born on July 16, 1918 in Wellsburg, IA, the daughter of Johannes & Cuna (Bunger) Nederhoff. She grew up and attended school in Wellsburg and continued living on the family farm with her sister and 2 brothers working as a homemaker until 1991, then she moved to Friendship Manor in Wellsburg. She enjoyed embroidering, gardening, watching cooking shows on T.V., playing games and she especially loved children.

Reka is survived by her brother Carl L. of Wellsburg; numerous nieces, nephews and great, great-great & great-great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Oldig, Coert & Gratus Nederhoff; twin sister Diana Nederhoff and sister Tillie Harms; nephews Curtis Harms, Lonnie Phillips & Bill Winger; a niece Beverly Roberts.
