HARMS, BUNGER, NEDERHOFF

Tillie E. Harms, 93, of Wellsburg, died from natural causes on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the Presbyterian Village in Ackley. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 13 at the Wellsburg Reformed Church in Wellsburg with Pastor Todd Rempe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Due to construction at the funeral home, visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 5 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be directed to the Wellsburg Reformed Church in Tillie's name. Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Tillie was born September 25, 1914 on the family farm near Wellsburg, daughter of Johannes O. and Cuna (Bunger) Nederhoff. She attended Country School Shiloh #8 and lived her entire life in the Wellsburg area.

On January 19, 1937 Tillie was united in marriage to Edward H. Harms at the Wellsburg Reformed Church Parsonage. She worked for 40 years as an egg grader for Farmers Produce of Wellsburg and retired at the age of 80. She was a member the Wellsburg Reformed Church and she enjoyed needle-work, fishing, and attending auctions.

Tillie is survived by her daughter, Marylene Phillips of Wellsburg and her husband Lonnie L.; sister, Reka Nederhoff of Wellsburg; brother, Carl L. Nederhoff of Wellsburg; daughter-in-law, Conchita V. Harms of Wellsburg; and by 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Edward on April 5, 1982; her parents; son, Curtis Lee Harms; sister, Diana Nederhoff; and brothers, Oldig, Gratus, and Coert J. Nederhoff.
