He married Millie Brasted Jan. 31, 1884 at her home in New York, having met her while she taught school here. They farmed in Palermo township until 1928 when they moved to Grundy Center.
Surviving are his wife, one son Floyd of Grundy Center, and two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Morrison of Grundy Center and Mrs. Ernest Diehl of Ames, Ia., also one sister, Miss Carrie DeSeelhorst of Grundy Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 from the Coffman Funeral home with Rev. Virgil Smith of the First Presbyterian church in charge. Burial will be in the Grundy Center cemetery.
