Sudden Death at Reinbeck
Mr. A. Methfessel, aged about sixty years, died very suddenly last night at about 7:30 o'clock, of heart trouble. He had been in his usual health until a few days ago, when he contracted a cold. He was down town yesterday, and after returning home, went to the barn to do the milking, where he dropped dead.
The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Decedent is survived by a wife, five daughters and a son. Mrs. Chas. Biebershimer of Waterloo is a daughter. His oldest daughter lives in Wellsburg and three others and a son live at home. He had lived in Reinbeck for 35 or 40 years and was well known and respected by a large circle of friends. At one time he owned the land where Reinbeck now is. He was well-to-do. Several years ago he was proprietor of a coal office here, which he disposed of, and since then has not been in active business. Five or six of his children died several years ago of diptheria.
