Mrs. Lammert Hoffman, 61, at her home one-half mile south of Buck Grove Friday, following two strokes suffered Tuesday; had been in ill health since 1934, as the result of injuries received in a fall off the porch of her home; funeral 1:30 p.m. at the home and later from the Aplington Baptist church; burial in Pleasant View cemetery north of Aplington; nee Lena DeWeerdt, May 3, 1880, at Franker, Holland, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. John DeWeerdt; in 1891 she came to America with her parents and settled at Steamboat Rock, Ia.; married to Lammert Hoffman, Feb. 22, 1905; leaves three sons, Carl and Louis Hoffman at home, and John Hoffman, New Hartford; three daughters, Mrs. David Avery, Dumont; Vera and Leona Hoffman, at home; also four grandchildren; two children died in infancy.
