Mrs. Allgood, 72, Buck Grove, Dies of Heart Trouble
Mrs. Harriet Allgood, 72, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. C. Dunham, near Buck Grove, in the northern part of Grundy county, sometime Sunday night of a heart attack. She was found dead in bed Monday morning when called to breakfast by Mrs. Dunham.
Mrs. Allgood was born in Illinois Jan. 2, 1862. She married Joseph Allgood April 9, 1882 and came to Grundy Center 25 years ago. The husband died 10 years ago. Since that time she made her home with her children.
Surviving are 10 children: Mrs. Ed French, Jesse, Mrs. Mary Mast, all of Grundy Center; Mrs. Guy Longnecker and Ben, Waterloo; William, Mountain Lake, Minn.; Albert, Sheffield, Ia.; Dewey, Verona, N. D.; Richard, Engleville, N. D., and Mrs. Dunham; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Willis, Humboldt, Ia.; 30 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Three children preceded her in death.
The funeral has been tentatively set for Wednesday at Buck Grove, with burial at Grundy Center, pending word from relatives.
