Sharon A. Campbell, 68, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa, of natural causes. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 17, 2008, at United Methodist Church, in Reinbeck, Iowa, with Pastor Terry Plocher officiating. Burial will follow at the Reinbeck Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2008, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., with the family present to greet friends, at French Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established.

Sharon Ann (Johns) Campbell was born December 19, 1939, in Monroe, Michigan, the daughter of Elmer L. and Charlotte I. (Morrison) Johns. Sharon received her education in Monroe, graduating from Monroe High School with the class of 1957. After high school, she furthered her education by attending Eastern Michigan University. On June 10, 1959, Sharon was united in marriage to Thomas A. Campbell in Monroe, Michigan. To this union were born two sons, Matthew and Mitchell. In 1966, they moved to Reinbeck, Iowa. Sharon became employed with the Reinbeck Community School District, first, working as a teacher’s aide for several years, and then she became the High School Secretary, serving in that capacity until 1983. Sharon then became employed with Oakridge Realtors in Cedar Falls. Sharon worked as the Office Manager, helping in all facets of the business. She also obtained her Real Estate License. Her husband Thomas A. Campbell died on February 8, 1994, and she continued to make Reinbeck her home. Sharon was a member of the Reinbeck United Methodist Church, and also the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed scrapbooking and quilting. Sharon was an excellent cook who loved to prepare meals for her family and extended family. Sharon’s grandchildren were the center of her life.

She is survived by her son, Mitchell Campbell and his wife Lynne of Waterloo, Iowa; two grandchildren, Zachary and Allison Campbell of Waterloo, Iowa; three brothers, Lee Johns of Monroe, Michigan; David Johns and his wife Cheryl of Kalkaska, Michigan; and Phillip Johns and his wife Carol of Temperance, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas; and one son, Matthew Campbell on November 25, 1981.
