Alice Dora Rohweder, 95, of Lincoln, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, Iowa, of natural causes.

Alice was born September 22, 1912, in Lincoln, Iowa, the daughter of Claus and Dora (Petersen) Storjohann. She was raised in the Lincoln area and graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1931.

On March 3, 1936, Alice was united in marriage to Erwin Rohweder in Marshalltown, Iowa. After their marriage they farmed west of Lincoln until Alice moved to Lincoln in 1983 following Erwin's death. In addition to being a homemaker, she was a lifelong member of the Salem Church in Lincoln and a member of The Living Branches, Friendship Club and card club. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, crocheting and baking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Erwin on June 30, 1983, 4 brothers Gus, George, Alfred and Henry Storjohann, 5 sisters Kate Lage, Laura Martens, Elsie Hoppe and Emma and Annie when they were very young.

She is survived by her daughter Dorothy and her husband Roger Peterson of Grinnell, Iowa and a son Jim Rohweder of Grundy Center, Iowa.
