Geo. Simms returned from Broken Bow, Nebraska, Monday where he had been for five weeks in attendance during the last sickness and death of his son, John B. Simms. John was well known here, having lived here until a few years ago, when he moved to Nebraska. The sorrowing parents and relatives have the sympathy of the entire community in their affliction. John carried a policy of $2,000 in the Iowa Legions of honor, and was a member of Beaman lodge in good standing. --Bee
