Ronald Folkert Kuper was born on January 30, 1940 in German Township in Grundy County, the son of Leola (Neymeyer) and Folkert Kuper. He was baptized at St. Peters United Church of Christ in rural Geneva. He attended country school in German Township #5. On April 29, 1967 Ronald was united in marriage to Catherine Launderville at St. Mary's Catholic church in Ackley. He was a member of the Ackley Saddle Club, of which he was a Past President. He was a member of the Draft Horse Association. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends. He loved farming, horses, the Amish, and attending all the Saddle Club events.

Mr. Kuper is survived by his wife Catherine of Ackley; a daughter, Renae McMurray and her husband Mark and their children Matthew and Katelyn of Ackley; three sons, Rick Kuper and his wife Barb and their children Justin and Kody, Ryan Kuper and his wife Monica and their children Patrick and Victoria, and Rory Kuper and his fiancee Jennifer and their children Kaylynne and Kristen all of Ackley; his mother, Leola Kuper of Ackley; two sisters, Darlene Lindaman and her husband Gary, and Marlys Wessels and her husband Jack all of Ackley; and one brother Leroy Kuper and his wife Marlene of Ackley. He was preceded in death by his father, Folkert.
