William was born January 16, 1905 in Holland, Iowa, the son of Joe A. and Hattie (Meester) Meester. He married Agnes Elvira Rhode on September 24, 1940 in Cedar Falls. He was engaged in farming.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes of Waterloo; one son, Kenneth J. Meester of Moorhead, Minnesota; one brother, Calvin A. Meester of Grundy Center; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by six brothers, Henry A., Jacob, Tom, Andy, Gerald, one brother in infancy; and one sister in infancy.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hagerman Baptist Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls.

Memorials may be directed to the Hagerman Baptist Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
