Died at her home in German township, Grundy county, last Sunday, Mrs. Tama Deters, after a brief illness, in the 47th year of her age. Mrs. Deters was an estimable woman, a kind and loving mother and wife and a splendid neighbor, and her death will be deeply mourned, not alone by her husband and immediate relatives, but by the entire community in which she lived.--Ackley Phonograph

Rombartha Deters, born Klugkist, has been taken by the relentlessness of death from our side. The deceased was born on the 18th of December 1848, at Bunde, Ostfriesland and died on the 22nd of March 1896, reaching the age of 47 years, 3 months and 4 days. The marriage was blessed with 9 children and of that, 4 have preceded the mother into eternity. She died in the belief on her savior that was for her fully broken and that she also especially received light so that she could say, "soon I will go to Jesus and so whatever thing he does, it is good."

The burial occurred on the 25th of March and Pastor Wesep had a message at the home of the departed and Pastor Plescher conducted the funeral message over Philippians 1:6.
