ACKLEY - Annie Jansen Buskohl, 102, of Ackley died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Presbyterian Village in Ackley. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center with Rev. Kent Leydens and Rev. Bruce Baillie officiating. Burial will be in Colfax Center Presbyterian Cemetery in Colfax.

Annie was born March 3, 1902, in Parkersburg to Johannes J. and Gertie (Jansen) Meester. She received her education in the Pleasant Valley No. 6 country school of rural Parkersburg. On Oct. 10, 1940, Annie was united in marriage to Heye Buskohl. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and embroidering. Annie was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Trena Schnell and Lydia Kolder of Parkersburg, and Ruth Claassen and husband Clarence of Grundy Center; one sister-in-law, Lena Meester of Parkersburg; one brother-in-law, Jacobus Hemmen of Aplington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Jacob and Herman; and four sisters, Jacobena Wolters, Henrietta Luhring, Martha Eilderts and Esther Hemmen.

Sietsema Funeral Home of Ackley was in charge of arrangements.
