Owing to a death in the family of one of the members of the Children's Aid Society of New York, the date for the children to arrive in Grundy Center has been postponed to Friday, June 2. If you want one of the children please send in your application to the following gentlemen who constitute the committee: C. G. Rogers, W. J. Smith, T. J. Noll and Benj. Jacobs.

Last Friday, June 2nd, E. Trott, agent for the New York Children's Aid Society, came with seven children, three girls and four boys. He was disappointed as before in the small number but it was the best he could do. The children all found good homes. L. A. Lampman of this city taking one of the little girls and Geo. Brasted took one. N. Errickson took the largest boy and the others found equally good friends whose names we have forgotten. There were about forty-eight applications in and Mr. Trott has promised to return again in September. A good lunch was served the children at the opera house and they seemed to appreciate the kindness.
