A Time for Remembering

Relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Kannegieter of Wellsburg gathered at the couple's home Wednesday, Jan. 28 to help them celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. Their children hosted the event.

Those attending were Mrs. Ben Jaspers, Steamboat Rock; Mrs. Marvin DeVries, Madison, Wis.; Mrs. Howard Handlogten, Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry G. Vanderzyden of Eldora; Mr. and Mrs. Darell McMartin, Jason and Apryl, Grundy Center; Mrs. Darrell Sents and Joshua, Fred Bergman, Mr. and Mrs. Abe deNeui, Mr. and Mrs. Roy deNeui, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest deNeui, all of Wellsburg; Rev. and Mrs. John Elenbaas, Mr. and Mrs. Jay deNeui, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Decker, Cedar Falls.

Also Mr. and Mrs. John Kuper, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kannegieter, Mrs. William Oelmann, Mrs. Matthew Kannegieter, Ackley; Mrs. John Kannegieter and Mrs. Lawrence Meyer, Aplington.

Evening visitors in the Kannegieter home were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Purvis, Mr. and Mrs. John Ross, Mr. and Mrs. Heinie Luwe, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hippen, Mrs. Will Janssen, Mrs. Clara Geerdes and Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Nederhoff, Wellsburg.

On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Mr. and Mrs. Kannegieter were guests of honor at a dinner a the Thunderbird in Marshalltown. Henry and Verda Mae Vanderzyden, Martha Lou DeVries and Mary Ann Handlogten were also present.
