Action Instituted to Acquire Title to Church Property

The North American Baptist General Missionary society has started an action in the district court to acquire title to the church property located just east of Buck Grove.

This ground was donated to the German Baptist congregation by Mr. and Mrs. John Voogd and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Slight when the congregation was organized and the deed was given in 1902.

The Baptist society claims there have been no services in this church for over 20 years and that the building is going to decay.

The action is brought against Harm Meyer and other former members of the congregation who worshiped there.
