, Obituary in newspaper, Grand Junction, Greene Co., IA: 1914
"Mary Susan Harrison was born June 4. 1847 in Hancock county, Ohio, and died October 6, 1914 in Grand Junction, Iowa. She came with her parents to Jones county, Iowa in 1850. July 2, 1865 she was married to A. B. Crow. In 1869 they moved to Greene county, which has since been their home. To them were born eight children, five of whom are living: Ada Blake and Ida Washburn of California, Winnie Smith of Chicago, Mary Belangee of South Dakota and B. H. Crow of Grand Junction.

She is survived by a husband, five children, thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister (Mrs. L. Coon, of Grand Junction) and four brothers, Henry of Cuba, Nebraska; George of Gramis, Arkansas; John of Grand Junction; and William E. of Perry, Iowa.

She was a member of the Baptist church and of the Betsy Ross Circle and the Rebekah lodge. She became a Christian early in life and died in the faith. "Blessed are they that die in Lord."
