CHURDAN BURIAL FOR C. L. FISCUS

Clifford Laverne Fiscus was born June 19, 1907, at Audubon, Iowa, to Leonard and Ella Fiscus and passed away at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines August 25, 1961 at the age of 54 years, 2 months and 7 days.

He attend the Rippey school and spent most of his life in Rippey.

On February 14, 1927, he was married to Josie Mary Gilbert at Jefferson. They lived at Jefferson, Perry and Rippey and last March first they moved to Madrid to make their home.

He was baptized in the Church of Christ at Jefferson in October 1924 by Rev. A. R. Kepple. He was very devoted to his home and children.

He is survived by his wife, four sons, Dwayne of Churdan, Dwight of Carroll, Dean of Des Moines and Delbert of Rippey, two granddaughters, two grandsons, one sister, Mrs. Vera Wilson of Jefferson and one niece, Mrs. Clifford Rater of Earlham. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Hazel Mitchell.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Sundberg funeral home in Madrid. Searcy White of Higbee, MO, a former evangelist of the Church of Christ in Jefferson officiating. Nolan Anderson of the Church of Christ in Madrid assisted.

The casket bearers were Harold Curtis, Wayne Brody, Richard VanEgdom, Amos Wilson, Eugene Keenan and Richard Williams. Charles Curtis sang "God Will Take Care of You," accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Earl Hoyle. Burial was in the Highland township cemetery at Churdan.
