Angeline Bridges was born in Covington, Kentucky, August 26, 1836, and died Dec. 14, 1916. She was aged 80 years, 3 months and 18 days. June 11, 1852, she was united in marriage to Daniel Belangee at Napoleon, Indiana, where for many years they made their home. Ten children, six boys and four girls were born to bless this union and of this number six survive the death of the mother. The living children are Wm. H., of Grand Junction; Mrs. Mary Ferguson, of Carlisle, Perry, of Waterloo, Grant of Canada; Chas. of Omaha, and Mrs. Anna Whitman, of Timber Lake, South Dakota. These with the aged husband are left to mourn. The family came to Iowa in the year 1880 and settled near Beaver residing there until Mrs. Belangee's paralytic stroke incapacitated her for farm work until 1889, at which time the family moved to Grand Junction which place has been their residence since. For more than twenty-seven years Mrs. Belangee had been a great sufferer but without complaint. Loving hands always ministered to her comfort and she was quite happy in the love of her family. Early in life she gave herself to Christ and had always been a blameless disciple of Him. She was a faithful member of the M. E. church _____ dependent. The funeral services were held from the M. E. church in Grand Junction Friday afternoon, Dec. 15, the pastor officiating,. The body was laid away to rest in the city cemetery.
