I've been looking for information on my great grandma. Her name is Mae Tuey (possibly Mae Iola Tuey).

I found a Name: Mary J Tuey, Christening Place: Sydney, Fremont, Iowa. FHL Film Number: 1491977 on ancestry.com and trying to find out if this Mary J Tuey could be her or her mother.

My Mae Tuey named her first daughter May Josephine.... She married a James Roberts so her daughter's name was May Josephine Tuey. All 3 generations on my mom's side named their daughter's with 'their' names and my gr grandma listed on the 1930 census that her mom was born in Iowa. This Mary J Tuey I found on ancestry says she was born in Sydney, Fremont, Iowa.

If this sounds familiar to anyone I'd sure appreciate hearing from you. Also it was said that she had Native American blood. Her father may have been Irish. Thanks !
