Boy Killed By Mule

A five year old son Loyal of Fred Martin and wife was kicked by a year old colt directly over the heart last evening (Oct 5, 1910 Wednesday) about six o:clock. The boy was just old enough to attend school, driving in from the farm home about 1 mile north of town with older children, expired almost instantly. The colt was a pet that they had raised on the bottle this summer.
