DEATH OF MRS. SUDA BOLTON

Funeral services were held Monday at the Church of Christ for Mrs. Suda Bolton, who passed away Friday. Hough M. Olson conducted services and burial was in the Hamburg cemetery.

Suda Lenora Miller, daughter of Abraham and Ann Miller, was born August 25, 1872 at Chuckel City, Tennessee, and passed away at the local hospital Friday, March 17, 1950, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 20 days.

She was married to John Edwin Bolton on October 18, 1888. To this union wer born nine children, all of whom were at her side at the time of death. They are, Ben H. Bolton, Vollie J. Bolton, Mrs. Lucy Geyer, Mrs. Chris Lloyd, Mrs. Herbert Shelton, Mrs. Dennis Henshaw, all of Hamburg; Roy E. Bolton and Mrs. Carry L May of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. and Mrs. Ben Hall of Mound City, Mo. She is survived by thirty two grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Bolton was the oldest of eight children, four having preceded her in death. One sister and two brothers survive, Mrs. Walter Stanbrough of Eureka, California, Roy L. Miller of this place and Audrey Miller of Wilmer, Minn.

Mrs. Bolton had been a widow since the death of her husband on March 3, 1924. At an early age she became a christian and was faithful to the Church of Christ. After her husband's death she engaged in nursing until her eyesight failed. She was always ready to lend a hand at any time of sickness or trouble and was happiest when doing for others. Mrs. Bolton came with her family to this community in February of 1900 and had made her home here since that time. Besides her relatives she leaves a host of friends and neighbors who mourn her passing.
