DEATH OF LYMAN MORGAN

Lyman Ditson Morgan entered this life February 5, 1883, departed March 9, 1950. Lyman was widely known as "L W" to his many friends, was born in Madison township, Fremont County. He was engaged in the occupation of farming, merchandising, and sales in and around Riverton all of his life.

On February 5, 1902 he was married to Mary Susan Smith and with her established a home to which came three children. The first of these, a son, taken away in infancy. But the suceedng years gave them two daughters, Marian and Madeline. This mother was taken thirteen years ago.

His parents, Marcene and Emily H. Morgan, his half brothers, Marcent (Buck) and Tom Morgan and his sisters, Molly Pauly and Gertrude Whisler, also preceded him to the other life.

Following the precept of his family he became affiliated with the Christian church in 1908 and during his last, long years of illness, found great comfort and contentment in the application and the principals of christianity to his life and his contact with others.

Always comfortable, he gave freely and without ostentation of personal effects and good cheer as well as of material things to the aged, the infirm, and the misfortunate.

He leaves behind for a little while, two daughters, Marian Stubbs, Madeline Douthit, a grandson, Michael Douthit and a sister, Mrs. Lulu M. Sherlock of Riverton.

Funeral sevices were held at the Christian church in Riverton Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E.O. Douglas, and and interment was in the Riverton cemetery.
