LELA M. CASE

Mrs. R.D. Case, who had been a patient sufferer for several months, passed away at her home in Hamburg Wednesday at about 11:30 p.m. She had been a patient at the Hamburg hospital, where everything that medical skill and loving hands could do for her, failed to restore her health, but she chose to return to her home, where she was cared for by her parents and other relatives.

Lela Marie Simpson, daughter of Mr. andi Mrs. Arthur Simpson of Auburn, Neb., was born in Thomas, Okla., April 1, 1911 and passed away March 1, 1950, at the age of 38 years and 11 months.

She graduated at the Auburn high school and grew to womanhood in that city. She was baptized in 1920 and lived a consecrated christian life. She was a devoted worker in the Church of Christ.

On Feb. 21, 1930 she was united in marriage to Richard D. Case, a widower and father of three small sons. To this union one daughter, Dorothy Frances, was born.

Mrs. Case was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 17, 1949. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Wilmot of Norfolk, Neb., her three stepsons, Richard Lee, William Keith and James Allen; her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Richard L. Case and her grandson, Donald Wayne; her parents, two brothers, Frank of Auburn and Gerald of Mullen, Neb.; five sisters, Mrs. Thurl Rogge of Liberal, Kansas, Mrs. Robert Trail of Nebraska City, Mrs. Harlan Brown, Lincoln, Mrs. Herbert Hill, Pleasant Dale, Mrs. Wm. Golyer, Los Angeles, other near relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ, Saturday, March 4, at 1:30 p.m. conducted by pastor, Hugh M. Olsen. Burial was made in the Mt. Olive cemetery.
