MRS. T. C. NOTSON OBITUARY

Mrs. T.C. Notson, a long time resident of Hamburg, passed away Thursday at her home in Glendale, California, after an ilness of several weeks. Mrs. Notson will be remembered here by many friends and neighbors, although several of her close friends have passed to the home beyond. Her last home in Hamburg was on E street, the present home of the Zion Evangelical minister and is frequently referred to as the Notson property.

Ruth Elizabeth Brown was born in Fremont County, Iowa, Sept. 25, 1861 and passed away Feb. 2, 1950, having reached the age of 88 years, 4 months and 7 days. She was united in marriage to Thomas Calvin Notson, Feb. 3, 1880 and to this union nine children were born. One son died in infancy. Eight children survive their mother at the end of her long life: Neal of Riverton, George and Dee of Hamburg, Ross of Rock Port, Fred of Alliance, Nebr., Mrs. Nancy Townsend and Mrs. Mae Hanson, all of Glendale, California. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, two sisters, Nancy L. Brown and Ellen Connolly, several nieces and nephews and friends. She was a member of the Baptist Church from childhood.

Funeral services were held at Rash Funeral Home, Monday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. C.E. Kingsley. Burial was made in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
