Last Riverton Veteran Dies
Leb Bright Would Have Been 90 Years Old Friday

Leb Bright, Civil War veteran, died athis home in Riverton, Tuesday evening about 8 o'clock following a short illness of a few days. He had been bedfast sinceThanksgiving.

He is survived by a daughter, Ethel and two sons, Mont and Harry, who made their home with him in Riverton; a son, John of Ridgway, Mo., and a granddaughter, Mrs. Hazel Fugitt of Portland, Oregon.

His wife preceded him in death seven years agolast September. Mrs. Lotus Bright, Mrs. Daphne Bright, Mrs. Lou Walker and Mrs. Richard Welty, all of Shenandoah, are nieces.

Mr.Bright is the last of three brothers. Aaron and James H. preceded him in death.

Mr. Bright would have celebrated his ninetieth birthday Friday.

He and his brother James enlisted in the Union army, March 18 1864, and were mustered out of the Fourth Iowa Calvalry Company K a the end of the war.

He was former resident of Shenandoah, but has lived in Riverton more than 20 years.

A military funeral will held for the Civil War veteran at 10 o'clock Thursday morning a the Methodist church in Riverton.
