Mary Marcene Watkins, 83, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013, at Westview Care Center in Indianola. She was born December 25, 1929, in Hamburg, Iowa, to Merle and Helen Comstock.
Marcene is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Swenson (Ron Nichols) and Stephanie (Jon) Beck; son, Rick (Cathy) Watkins; grandchildren, Adam Watkins, Michael Beck, Robert Fetters, and Kelly Tobey; and great-grandson, Jacob Tobey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Watkins, and grandson, Matthew Swenson.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Westview Care Center in Indianola for the wonderful care Marcene received.
