Deborah Swisher, 36, died of cancer at her home on December 15, 1989.

The following obituary is copied from the Council Bluffs, Iowa Nonpariel dated December 20, 1989:

SIDNEY---Funeral service for Deborah Kay Swisher, 36, rural Thurman, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene in Tabor. The Rev. Lauris Meek will officiate. Mrs. Swisher died of cancer at her home Wednesday.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at the Crawford-Reeves-Marshall Funeral Home in Tabor.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel, of rural Thurman; daughter, Stacey; sons, Perry and Samuel A.; father, John Goodman of Council Bluffs; grandmother, Bernice Goodman of Council Bluffs; brothers, Doug Goodman of Council Bluffs; sister Sue Blunk of Council Bluffs, Julie Robb of Quick, Kim Grinstead of Omaha and Vicky Bell of California.
