April 2, 1907The Sidney Herald has the following to say of the wedding of two young people, quite well known in these parts.
A very pretty wedding occurred at the home of Dr. H. Hayes at Hamburg last Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock when Earl Travis and Miss Gertrude Novinger were united in the holy bonds of wedlock, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Isaac Elder, pastor of the Christian church at that place.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. T.R. Travis of Prairie township and is an industrious and honorable man. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Novinger also of Prairie township. She is educated and refined and will surely make a worthy companion. She taught the Riverdale school in Prairie township very successfully, but gave up the school at the close of the winter term to take charge of a home of her own.
