To Whom It May Concern:
That I Robert Buttercase of the County of Fremont and State of Iowa being of sound mind do hereby convey and bequeath at my decease to my son Alexander Buttercase and to his heirs and asssigns the North West Quarter of Section 33, Townshp 68, Range 41 west, in Fremont County State of Iowa and I further bequeath and convey at my decease to my beloved wife, Jane Buttercase all other Real Estate that I may own or possess, except as above devised. Also all personal properties, moneys and credits (except sufficient with which to pay off my just debts) that I may have own or possess to have absolute right and enjoyment of all my property during her lifetime. Hereby revoking all other wills that I may have hitherto made, either written or expressed and declaring this to be my last will and testament for all purposes as herein expressed. Signed this 5th day of October 1874.

Laird, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Iowa in and for Fremont County do hereby certify that the foregoing and annexed will of Robert Buttercase was at the May Term of said Circuit A.D. 1875 and on the 4th day of May 1875 of said Term was duly proved and admitted to Probate.
