FREMONT COUNTY IOWA WILL

I, Eldred Huff Sen., being now of sound mind but feeble in health do in view of the uncertainty of life make this my last will and testament intending hereby to dispose of all my property, both personal and real.

1st..It is my will and desire that all my just debts be paid including the expenses of my last sickness and funeral and the cost of suitable monument or tombstone.

2nd..It is my will and desire that all my property both personal and real shall be sold after such notice as is required by law for the sale of such property, said sale to be conducted by my Executor hereinafter mentioned without application to Court.

3rd..I hereby desire to bequeath to my beloved granddaughter Julia Shannon the sum of Five Hundred Dollars to be paid to her by my Executor as soon as he has sufficient funds after the payment of my debts and the expenses before mentioned.

4th..To my beloved granddaughter Sallie Reeves I hereby desire and bequeath the sum of Two Hundred Dollars to be paid to her as provided for in the last paragraph above, as to Julia Shannon.

4 ½..To my beloved daughter Rachel, I hereby devise and bequeath the rents and profits of my farm for the year 1883, said bequest to be in full of her share in my Estate.

5th..It is my will and desire that the remaining portion of my Estate after paying all which is hereinafter mentioned shall be divided between my beloved sons Eldred Huff Jr. and John Huff and my daughter Ruth Stewart, share and share alike to be paid to them by my Executor.

6th..I hereby appoint T. R. Stockton, my Executor of this my last will and testament and that he fully execute my will as herein written.

Made published and declared as my will and testament this 14th day of March 1883.

The foregoing instrument of two sheets was by Eldred Huff Sen. Executed as his last will and testament and by him so declared to us and we each at his request, in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto set out names as witnesses thereto. Said will being signed by said Eldred Huff Sen. In our presence.
