LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF PEARSON HOSIER SENIOR
(not my relative)

In the Name of God, Amen.

I, Pearson Hosier Sen. of the town of Sidney in the County of Fremont and State of Iowa of the age
of eighty two years, and being of sound mind and memory do make, publish and declare this my
last will and testament in manner and form that is to say.

First - I give devise and bequeath to my son Pearson Hosier Jr. the SW 1/4 of SE 1/4 of SW 1/4
and the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Sec. No 22 in town No 69 N. of Range No 42 W in
Fremont County containing 20 acres of land, more or less and 1/2 of the stock that may be in my
grocery store and bake house in Sidney at my decease being undivided.

Second - I give devise and bequeath to my son, Gideon W. Hosier, Lot No 26 in the town of Sidney
Fremont County Iowa containing one acre more or less as appears of Record and the undivided
1/4 of the stock that may be in my grocery and bake house in Sidney at my decease, Fifty Dollars
in Silver and Gold, and the undivided 1/2 of my household goods.

Third - I give devise and bequeath to my son, Charles A. Hosier, Lot No 5 in Block B in the town of
Sidney Fremont County Iowa as described by the recorded plat of said town and the undivided 1/4
of the stock that may be in my grocery and bake house in Sidney at my decease. Fifty Dollars in
Silver and Gold and the undivided 1/2 of my household goods.

Fourth - I give devise and bequeath to my son Wilson Hosier, One Dollar to be paid him within one
year after my decease.

Fifth - I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Burson One Dollar to be paid her within
one year after my decease.

And for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this my last will and testament, I hereby
appoint J. C. Shockley of Sidney Fremont County Iowa, Executor of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this Twentyth day of July A.D. 1872

The within and foregoing instrument consisting of one sheet of legal cap paper was at the date
thereof signed and declared by the said Pearson Hosier as and for his last will and testament in
presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses
thereto
