Sientje Lammers/Lammerts/Weerts and Hilke Smidt

I am looking for information related to the marriage of Sientje Lammers and Hilke Smidt. Sientje's surname on his birth certificate was Weerts but his father used the surname Lammerts following the old Dutch patronymic system (his father was Lammert Weerts). By 1880, if not earlier, Sientje was using the surname Lammers and living in Sterling, NE.

Family tradition has their marriage taking place in Ackley around 1871. Sientje is thought to have immigrated to the US around 1870 from Bunde, Ostfriesland, Germany. Hilke appears to have been from the same area. Her mother died in Weener, Germany which is near Bunde.
