Hampton, July 10 - Dr. O. B. Harriman, for years one of the leading physicians of Franklin County and the pioneer physician of the county, died yesterday at his home in this city as the result of a stroke of paralysis. He had been in bad health for some years and during the past two years was unable to be out much.
Mr. Harriman was born in Warren, N. H. Sept. 29, 1836. He graduated from the Dartmouth Medical College in 1860, practiced medicine at Rockford, Iowa, for a few years and moved to Hampton in 1865 and has resided here continuously since. He was the first president of the Franklin County Medical Association.
Mr. Harriman was an elector on the Harrison and Tyler ticket and has always taken an active interest in politics. He has been a candidate on the democratic ticket for Legislature from this district. His funeral was held this afternoon and interment made in Hillside Cemetery at this place.
