Hampton, Dec. 16 - The funeral services of Mrs. Nancy Liggett Brown, who died at her home here Monday, were held Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Dewitt Clinton. Mrs. Brown was born at Danby, N. Y. Jan. 27, 1825, and was almost 86 years of age. At the age of 12 years, with her parents, she came west to Montville, Ohio, and there she was married to T. D. Brown, Oct. 18, 1841. Twenty-six years ago she came to Hampton and has since made this city her home. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. G. W. Soper and Miss Emma Brown, both of Hampton. She was a noble Christian woman, and for over seventy years has been a consistent member of the Methodist church.
