Funeral services for three-year-old James Thomas Baysinger of Dows were held from the Abundant Life Chapel in Dows on Tuesday, July 9, 1991. Rev. Paul Mills officiated and burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Dows.

Casket bearers were all uncles of James and they were Trent Baysinger, Mark Dorr, Sean Holm and Jamie Unger.

James Baysinger died at his home in Dows on Saturday, July 6, 1991 as a result of smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in an upstairs bedroom. He was born January 12, 1988 in Clarion to Tony and Laurie Unger Baysinger.

He is survived by his parents, Tony and Laurie Baysinger of Dows; three sisters: Jessica Whittaker, age 10; Cassie Jo Baysinger, age 4 and Shaylee Baysinger, age 1, all at home.

Also surviving are his maternal grandparents: Mrs. Donna Classon of Dows and James Unger of Dows; paternal grandmother, Rose Risetter of Hawthorne, California; maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Helen Sorenson of Sumter, South Carolina; maternal great-great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Unger of Dows and paternal great-great grandmothers, Ora Benton of Webster City and Phyllis Bergman of Stratford.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.
