Mrs. George Vierkant died at her home, three miles north of Alexander Friday evening after a short illness of influenza, developing into pneumonia.
Her maiden name was Dena Beenen and she was born in Landscape, Polder, Germany on August 21, 1877, being 43 years, 6 months and 28 days old at the time of her death. She grew to womanhood in her native community and on March 14, 1902 was united in marriage to George Vierkant. To this union seven children were born, all of whom survive. She leaves to mourn her death, the bereaved husband, five daughters and three sons as follows: Sina, an adopted daughter; Alice; Wilma; Herma; Anna; Theodore; Herman and William, all of whom are young and remain at home. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Theodore Beenen of Alexander; one sister, Miss Anna Beenen of Alexander and four brothers: Will Beenen of Renwick and Theodore, Aldrich and Rudolph all of Alexander.
