Coulter Woman Passed Away Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Jens G. Jensen, age seventy-six, who passed away Saturday morning at her home, in Coulter, were held Monday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church, east of Coulter, with the Rev. Gudmund Petersen, pastor, in charge of final rites. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Dora Jensen was born November 24, 1876, in Vesterhesinge on Fyn, Denmark. She was baptized into the Christian faith to the name of Maren Dorthea Miller. It was here she too received her Christian instruction. In the year 1902 she came to America where she located in Story County, Iowa. The following year she was united in marriage to Jens G. Jensen on March 13, 1903.
In 1913 the family moved to Franklin County and had made their home here since that time. During the years she lived in Franklin County she has been a faithful member of St. John's evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, Arlo Jensen, and Einer Jensen, of Hampton, and one daughter, Mrs. John Stadtlander, of Hampton, and five grandchildren.
