Jacobson Infant -1886

A family named Jacobson living in the Western portion of Hamilton township have lost two children from diphtheria during the last ten days. Several other children of the family were also dangerously ill with the same disease., but are now convalescent. It seems that the body of the first child that died was kept for a day or two in the house and then a public funeral, was held. Some physician from Dows whose name we did not hear, attended the first child and it would seem he ought to have taken measures to have prevented such a gross violation of the laws on that subject. Dr. Keys was called in about the time the second child died.
