Services for Mrs. Karen Hansen, 93, a resident of the Lutheran Home for the Aging, 1101 Grand Ave., will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Hampton. Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery at Hampton.
Mrs. Hansen, born in Fyn, Denmark died at the home Monday of arteriosclerosis after a five-year illness. She formerly lived in Hampton and had been a Des Moines resident for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Luther Memorial Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John Christensen of Hampton and Stella Nervig of Des Moines; one son, Einer of Hampton; two brothers, Marius Hansen of Hampton and George Hansen of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
The body will be at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home until Wednesday.
