HANSEN RITES AT HAMPTON SUNDAY

Farmer's Death Result Gunshot Wound.

Hampton, Ia. Funeral services for Peter Marius Hansen, 44, farmer, residing eight miles southwest of here, in Hamilton township, whose death Thursday night was caused by a bullet wound which penetrated the heart, will be Sunday afternoon from St. John's Luth-ern church of Hamilton township. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. Hansen was operating a farm in partnership with Chris Madsen. His wife died five years ago, and he had been caring for a young son, aged seven, with whom he had spent the day Thursday at Clear Lake and returned home late in the evening. Hansen's body was found in the yard early Friday morning. No reason for the act is known. Hansen left a note directed to his farming partner, saying that he intended to commit suicide and asked that his little boy be well taken care of. The son is the only known relative. An inquest was conducted by Dr. John Martin, Latimer, Franklin county coroner, and the jury decided that Hansen took his own life.
