Ardella Oldag, 88, passed away May 22, 2017 at the Sheffield Care Center. Memorial Services for Ardella and her husband Dean who passed away at his home April 23, 2017 will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Sheffield.

Ardella Mae Brouwer was born January 8, 1929 on a farm near Klemme a daughter of Arthur and Sylvia (Moberly) Brouwer. She was baptized in Klemme and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Sheffield. She graduated from Sheffield High School and attended Hamilton College in Mason City studying bookkeeping.

On May 4, 1951 Ardella was united in marriage with Dean Eugene Oldag at the Methodist Church in Sheffield. This union was blessed with one daughter.

Ardella worked for Harrison 5&10 Cent store doing payroll and bookwork. Then at the Cerro Gordo County Auditor’s office. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield. She did everything with her husband, hunting, fishing and took care so he could be involved in his many volunteer projects. She was a fabulous cook and took pride in her family and having an immaculately clean house.

Survivors include her daughter: Kathy Nuddleman, Mason City; grandchildren: Wyatt Dean Nuddleman; Nicole Fay (Joel) Gould; sister-in-law: Joyce Brouwer; sister: Norma (Carl) Zimmerman; brother: Duane (Dorothy) Brouwer; sister: Darlene (Merlin) Peter; brother: Gordon Brouwer.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers Ivan and Elwyn.
Memorials for Ardella may be extended to Hospice of North Iowa and for Dean to North Iowa Honor Flight.
