Diane Younker age 62 of Ackley died on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 5th at the St. John's United Church of Christ in Ackley with burial in the Oakwood Cemetery in Ackley. Visitation will be 4-7 P.M. Friday at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Diane Kay Younker was born on May 5, 1955 in Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Harley and Anona (Kruger) Knipfel. She graduated from the Ackley-Geneva High School in 1973. On April 14, 1984 Diane was united in marriage to Robert Younker at the St. John's U.C.C. in Ackley. She had worked at Waldorf's, Dr. John Fetter's office, Ackley Ambulance, Y's Motel, Countryside Turf and Timber, and 15 years with the St. John's U.C.C., retiring on May 31, 2017. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Crescent Club, and a lifetime Girl Scout member. She enjoyed her family, going to her grandkids activities, crocheting, bowling, penny slot machines, and their Minnesota Lake home.

Diane is survived by her husband, Robert; a daughter, Rebecca Palmateer of Ackley; two sons, William and Daniel Younker of Ackley; eight grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Knipfel of Ackley; two nieces, Kristin Blaisdell of Iowa Falls and Dawn Randall of Crystal Lake, Illinois; and a great-niece, Harlee Randall of Crystal Lake, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
