Frank Barry, 54, Son of Pioneer Family
Frank Barry, 54, committed suicide Saturday afternoon by shooting himself. He lived alone and about noon requested his brother, Joe, to send a barber to his home to shave him. The barber found the lifeless body lying across the front door entrance. Barry had been a patient at the hospital for the insane at Independence, being released about six months ago. Frank Barry was born in Hampton Feb. 2, 1877, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barry, pioneers of Franklin county; educated in the public schools and ten years ago married Mollie Griffe. They had been separated several years. One brother, J. W. Barry, Hampton, survives. Rev. H. L. Michael, pastor of the Congregational church conducted funeral services.
