Last Rites Held For Marvin Seehusen

Marvin H. Seehusen, of rural Hampton, passed away Wednesday afternoon at St. Mary's hospital, in Rochester, Minnesota. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran church, southwest of Hampton. Rev. Sedoris N. McCartney and Rev. William Klein officiated at the last rites. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Green & Sietsema funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born September 15, 1923, at Monticello, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Seehusen.

He attended Wartburg College, in Waverly, ISU at Ames, and the American Institute of Business, in Des Moines. He served with the U.S. Navy from June 9, 1948, until March 26, 1946.

He was married to Francis Christensen, April 10, 1949, at St. John's Lutheran church. They engaged in farming.

Mr. Seehusen is survived by his wife, one daughter, Christine, who is attending Wartburg College, in Waverly, his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Seehusen, of Monticello, one sister, Mrs. William Klein, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and two brothers, Mahlon (Pat) Seehusen, of Monticello, and Paul Seehusen, of Culver City, California.

He is preceded in death by one sister.

He was a member of CAL board of education for ten years and had served as president for the last five years. He was a member of the American Legion.
